Rare featured in Blue Action Fund’s 5-Year Impact Report
From 2018-2021, Rare partnered with the Blue Action Fund to empower coastal communities in Mozambique to sustainably manage their coastal fisheries. Together, we engaged communities and government at all levels to establish a community-led approach to fisheries management that benefitted both people and nature. This overview of the project, included in Blue Action Fund’s 5th Anniversary Impact Report, captures the journey to establishing Mozambique’s first area of ocean to formally be put under community co-management.
