(Carlisle, PA) – On October 5, 2019, Rare and Dickinson College will host a summit on the use of behavioral solutions to spark sustainable actions on college and university campuses. BE.Hive on Campus: Climate Change Needs Behavior Change (BE for Behavior and Environment) will bring students, faculty, and campus changemakers from dozens of colleges and universities together with leaders in business, academia and conservation to explore proven and promising solutions to motivating climate-friendly habits and reducing campus greenhouse gas emissions.
Rare is a global leader in the use of behavior change within conservation and development. Dickinson College is a nationally-recognized leader in campus sustainability efforts and is on track to be carbon neutral in 2020.

In addition to ignite talks and presentations from the speakers, the summit will also feature an electric vehicle demonstration, career fair and a Behavior-Centered Design Challenge. The Behavior-Centered Design Challenge, which will be held the previous day, October 4, will challenge teams to design a solution for a sustainability-related problem. Finalists will pitch their solution to a panel of experts on stage the next day with a chance to win $1,500.
