Climate Week NYC 2025
Accelerating people-centered solutions to climate change
| Climate change demands a wide range of solutions from governments, corporations, communities, and individuals. Effective solutions are people-centered—reflecting how people behave and make decisions and responding to the needs of communities most impacted by climate change.
Taking place alongside UN General Assembly, Climate Week New York City 2025, Rare will highlight how we accelerate localized, community-led climate action solutions through culture, policy, and finance. |

Climate finance
Financing resilience on the frontlines
Communities across the Global South are bearing the brunt of the impacts of climate change, despite being the least likely to cause it. This is felt particularly in the form of extreme and unpredictable weather. As these threats increase, we need financial solutions that help communities adapt to climate change while also building resilience.
Climate narratives
Shifting the climate narrative
As the climate crisis intensifies, can a single episode of TV change the way people think about extreme weather and inspire support for critical solutions? In a warming world, can TV save lives? The science says yes.
New research from Rare’s Entertainment Lab, which will be shared at Climate Week, found that medical dramas like Grey’s are effective at informing audiences about the risks posed by extreme weather. Not only that, but audiences strongly approved of integrating real-world climate and health impacts into storylines of popular shows.
Climate Adaptation & Resilience
Building Climate Resilience
Rare envisions a world where people and communities living in climate vulnerable places can withstand the impacts of climate change, and thrive in the places they call home. On our Climate Adaptation & Resilience page, explore stories from the frontlines and learn more about Rare’s approach to building climate resilience.
