Quarterly report
A People-Centered Approach to Conservation
This quarter, we’ve continued deepening our impact by putting people at the center of environmental solutions.
So far in 2025, we have seen remarkable progress in regenerative agriculture, with governments in Colombia and municipalities across the globe embracing Rare’s farmer-to-farmer model. In Brazil’s Amazon region, we expanded our conservation efforts, further protecting vital mangrove ecosystems and promoting sustainable fisheries. Rare’s groundbreaking initiatives in innovative finance, including the launch of the world’s first Small-Scale Fisheries Impact Bond in Indonesia, demonstrate how new financial mechanisms are unlocking private capital to support marine conservation and coastal communities.
At the same time, Rare is working at the intersection of behavioral science and conservation, uncovering insights that can help drive broader public engagement and real-world action on climate change and beyond. From new advisory tools for smallholder farmers to harnessing the power of storytelling in the entertainment industry, Rare is embracing innovative approaches to scale climate solutions.
As we reflect on the strides made this quarter, we remain committed to our mission: scaling people-centered solutions that protect nature, strengthen livelihoods, and address climate change — with local communities at the heart of it all.
