Coastal 500: Mayors from 8 nations swap ideas, best practices

From May 25 to June 1, thirteen mayors and local government leaders from 7 different countries came together in Siargao, Philippines for the Coastal 500 global gathering. They visited the municipalities of Santa Monica, Del Carmen and General Luna to see managed access and reserves, financial inclusion, social protection and climate adaptation programs in action. They spent afternoons trading ideas, best practices and challenges. Evenings, they ate, danced and nurtured budding friendships.
