Santa Fe hosted its second annual sailboat race to celebrate the Honduran municipality’s artisanal fishing culture and revive an old tradition. The race was the backdrop to a day of action for the national Fishing For Life campaign that included local fisher commitments to fish responsibly and respect the Cayo Blanco marine reserve, a joint formal request to declare a municipal “managed access area,” and placement of its first buoy.
